Area 51 League format

The league will be contested by sixteen members divided into four groups of four. Each group will have its own independent league with home and away matches with the winner and runner up advancing on to the next round. The process will be the same for the second and third round. The final round will be a best of three match showdown between the top two players for the title of BALL KING.

PRIZE & PRIVELEDGES

The Ball King will be awarded the tournament prize of fifteen Thousand dollars ($15,000.00). This will increase each tournament by two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500.00). Therefore the prize money for March will be Seventeen thousand five hundred dollars ($17,500.00)

The winner will hold this title for exactly one month at which time the tournament will be held again. In the one month leading up to the second tournament the winner is King and as such will be announced each and every time he enters Area 51.

The king will be crowned with the Ball King medal whenever he arrives at Area51.

It is forbidden and punishable by banishment for anyone to challenge the king directly. Instead those wishing to play the King should make an appointment to do so and if the king so desires he will grace them with his talents, but only if the king so desires.

The king will not be required to pay to play fifa at the arcade but there will absolutely be no free matches against the King.

The king will be entitled to a snack and a beverage free of costs each time he is at area 51. The king’s exploits will be posted in the newspaper along with a photo of his lordship so that the Jamaican Public may know what a fifa king looks like.

Finally the king will not have to face the rules governing all other players leading up to the tournament.

RULES

At the end of the tournament next week all participating players and fifa players who want to participate in the next tournament will have to play one hundred matches (100) minimum to meet eligibility requirements. The amount of wins to losses ratio will be recorded and will be critical in determining whether a player can enter future tournaments.

For a player to be eligible he/she must have a sixty five percent (65%) wins to loss ratio.

Only players with sixty five percent and over wins will be selected to comprise the sixteen contestants. This does not mean 65% will be good enough as only the players with the highest averages will be selected.

A Fifa players profile will be created by Area 51 for each fifa player and will reflect their win loss ratio. This information will be displayed periodically on the display screen inside area51.
